Want To Register for JAMB? Read This First

1. Your Name

Your name is your identity. Any spelling error can risk your admission into any instituion.A student admitted through JAMB stands a risk of loosing admission or being rejected by the University during clearance as a result of a wrong spelling of name. Make sure you review your application before finally submitting it.

2. Course Of Study:

Alot of the times, many candidates are confused about the course they want to study in the University. Parents and friends decision tend to drown some candidates choice of course. You should not let anyone make the decision for you. You will suffer it. So carefully take your time to make up your mind.

3. Course Subject combination:

Each course has a subject combination. Yours is not different and that is why you need the current JAMB Bronchure to guide you on your choice of subjects for the JAMB examination.Kindly go through the bronchure, and search for your course and the subject combination for that course.Once you sit for the wrong subject, forget about your admission for that year.

4. Use one sitting result :

Though this is not a strong point. But is important in the aspect of competition in a department. Schools like Uniport may not be so serious about one sitting but others may just use it as a criteria for fitting more students.I did not say it is a necessity though. Also make sure you have the required minimum grade in your WAEC/NECO/GCE is “C6”, anything more than that, won’t be accepted by the University you choose.

5. Date of Birth:

Minimum age for admission is 16years, and anything less than that should not apply or can apply in a private University.Don’t try to forge your age. Only give accurate date of birth.
